AREA is proud to partner with McKissock and CareerWeb to offer the following Real Estate Appraisal courses required by the North Carolina Appraisal Board (NCA) to upgrade and maintain your Real Estate Appraiser classification.
AREA offers courses through two providers. Below you can find details about each of the providers:
-CareerWeb - Policies Course certifications are provided by CareerWeb (if applicable credit is electronically certified directly to the state) within 3 business days after receiving your course completion. The affidavit located at the end of the course must be completed. Courses available for 6 month time period. Printing capability is disabled.
-McKissock - Policies Course certifications are provided by McKissock (if applicable credit is electronically certified directly to the state) the Friday after receiving your course completion. The affidavit located at the end of the course must be completed. Courses available for 6 month time period. Printing capability is enabled. Compatible with MAC.

To become a Trainee Appraiser in North Carolina you must complete 90 hours of Board approved courses covering the topics required by the NCA. These courses must include the following:
- 30 hr Appraisal Principles - Distance education is not permitted
- 30 hr Appraisal Procedures - Distance education is not permitted
- 15 hr Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) - Distance education is not permitted |
