Have a high school diploma or equivalent. |

Be affiliated with or intend to be affiliated with a license home inspector. |

Submit by sworn statement by the license home inspector with whom the applicant is or intends to be affiliated certifying that the licensed inspector will actively supervise and train the applicant. |

Submit the Board prescribed application and required fee of $15 once application is accepted you will receive an exam registration form in the mail. For directions on how to fill out the application please click here. |

Once the exam registration form is received you must send the form along with the $75.00 fee to the Board by the deadline date. Applicant will be sent a seating notice prior to the exam. The results of the exam will be mailed to the applicant within 30 days. |

After successfully completing the exam applicant must pay the initial license fee before October 1st which is $100.00. |

Have engaged as a licensed associate home inspector for at least one year and have completed 100 home inspections for compensation or equivalent education and experience that the Board would approve or be license as a general contractor, architect, or professional engineer. |

Have a minimum net assets or a bond in an amount determined by the Board (not less than $5,000 nor more than $10,000) |

| Every license will expire annually on September 30th. The Board will notify license holders 30 days before their license will expire, To renew a license, the license must submit the Board approved application and fee as well as evidence of the continuing education requirements. Continuing educations courses should consist of 12 hours consisting of 8 hours in two or more Board approved elective courses and a 4 hour annual Board-developed update course (please note that the same elective ce course may be taken only once for ce credit during any 3 yr period). |
